AssetWIN 2009 Released

Asset Systems, Inc. has released the latest version of its premier asset management software, AssetWIN 2009. Its release coincides with the company’s twenty-third anniversary. The new version is a broad update to the system’s capabilities touching many functional areas.

AssetWIN 2009 offers for the first time an independent check-in, check-out module fully integrated into the product. Items can be assigned to a individual and/or any other user defined field, such as cost center, and a return date set with an automatic alert triggered should the item not be returned by the specified date.

Other enhancements include video location profiles, integration with Active Directory, expanded data import capability, auto-commit of batch field data, user defined dashboards, check for updates and improvements to the SL Depreciation module.

“As with virtually every new release of AssetWIN, the improvements are primarily based on input from our customers,” observed Alden Snyder, ASI’s president. “Of course, we have taken advantage of the opportunity to continuously refine the product in areas not readily apparent to the user but the bulk of the changes are customer driven.” AssetWIN was originally released in 1995 and has undergone a major release at least annually ever since.

Effective immediately, all new shipments will reflect the new version. Existing customers subscribing to support may download the system from the company’s web site.

Asset Systems, Inc., based in Naperville, IL, was formed in October, 1987. Its flagship product, AssetWIN, provides bar code based asset management solutions for clients throughout North America.
